neuro-spicy cybersecurity professional. teacher's pest. anti-model minority.
I'm a full-time Identity & Access Manager at Macomb Community College. I love the threat hunting and cyberintelligence! I'm also a full-time, dual-enrolled second year student majoring in cybersecurity! How did I land a job in cybersecurity after just a year of school? Well, I'm a personality hire. But I've been stacking up on industry-standard certifications. I even had the honor of speaking to like 2,500 people as a keynote speaker at the Women in Cybersecurity 2025 Conference in Dallas. Even as I type that up, I breathe and bleed imposter syndrome.
When I'm not spending 20 hours a day in front of a computer screen because of my employers and professors, I spend my time doing social justice work, specifically K-12 outreach, advocating for personal growth and higher education. I have a history of both policy and community-based work for homeless and housing insecure youth. I leverage my own personal experiences as someone who was also a housing insecure youth to build connections and nurture safer spaces.
I promise it's not all work though. I have an all white husky who loves putting all her fur on my dark clothes. I love her and fashion, so it works. I'm a big fan of media arts and dabble in all of 'em: Comics, art, poetry, literature, theater, music, and anime. I yap, sing and do stuff, alright?!
